NETWORK INSTALLS

An office network
built properly.

From a floor plan to a documented, monitored network: internet edge, firewall, switching, Wi-Fi, cabling coordination and remote access, installed and handed over with the records to prove it.

01

Survey and design.

Walk the site, count the desks, phones, printers and devices, and check where Wi-Fi has to hold. Agree VLANs, addressing, guest access and what must keep working during the install.

YOU RECEIVE

A network design with equipment list, cabling schedule and a cutover plan.

02

Cabling and equipment.

Coordinate structured cabling to the schedule, supply switches, access points and firewall through Mirai Computers, and stage configuration before anything is mounted.

YOU RECEIVE

Labelled patch panels and ports; pre-configured, firmware-current equipment.

03

Install and cut over.

Mount, patch and bring the network up in the agreed window. Move the internet edge, test every desk, phone and access point, and confirm failover if a backup link is in scope.

YOU RECEIVE

A tested network, every port and SSID verified, and a signed-off cutover.

04

Document and monitor.

Hand over the network map, device inventory, credentials and configuration backups. Enrol the network in monitoring so faults are seen before they are reported.

YOU RECEIVE

A handover pack and ongoing monitoring under managed support.

WHAT IS COVERED

The parts of
a network install.

Scope is agreed per site. Items outside it, such as new conduit, electrical work or lease conditions, are identified in the design so there are no surprises on the day.

Scope a network install
Internet edge
Primary service terminated and tested; backup link (second carrier or Starlink stand-by) with failover configured at the firewall.
Firewall & VPN
Perimeter firewall, outbound rules, site-to-site VPN between locations and remote access for staff, scoped per role.
Switching
PoE switching sized for phones and access points, VLANs for staff, guest, voice and devices, labelled ports.
Wi-Fi
Access points placed from a survey, staff and guest SSIDs, roaming checked across the floor.
Cabling
Structured cabling coordinated with a licensed cabler to the schedule; patch panels and outlets labelled to the map.
Phones
Handsets or softphones on a voice VLAN with hosted PBX, numbers transferred on cutover.
Servers & storage
On-premises servers, NAS and backup targets placed, powered, networked and backed up.
Monitoring
Network devices enrolled in monitoring with alerting to the service desk.
Documentation
Network map, inventory, credentials in a managed vault, configuration backups and a cutover record.

TYPICAL SITES

Built for the way
the site is used.

01

New office fit-out.

Design from the plan, cable before the furniture, cut over the weekend before the move. Phones and Wi-Fi working on day one.

02

Existing site refresh.

Replace ageing switches and access points in a staged window, keep the addressing, document what was never written down.

03

Multi-site business.

Consistent design across locations, site-to-site VPN, central management and one place to call when something fails.

AFTER GO-LIVE

Installed is the start.

A network install hands into managed support: monitoring, firmware updates, changes as the team grows and the documentation kept current. See how support works.
